Happy Memorial Day! Hope you are having a fantastic weekend! We've had a lot of fun this weekend.
On Friday, we took it pretty easy, as Kyle was still pretty jet lagged and I was still something lagged! I went up to Laura Kate's class to help with the End of Year Party! It was a lot of fun and we had a blast. We still have to go back for two more days this week, but then FINALLY it is SUMMER!!!! WOO!
Friday afternoon, Kyle set up a tent in the living room just because we could. We cooked Party Pizzas and watched Little Rascals for Pizza & Movie night. The kids LOOOOVED Little Rascals. They thought it was hilarious, and Kyle and I still think it is hilarious.
The kids begged and begged to sleep in the tent overnight so we decided to let them. Fischer didn't last in the tent to sleep at all. LK and Shep actually stuck it out (although, I'm not sure how much sleep they actually got).
On Saturday we had a birthday party for our friend Luke! He turned three and we celebrated at the splash park! We had such a nice time and it was really nice to catch up with our friends. They used to live next door to us but moved a few months ago and we have missed getting to see them!
We went home for naps and boy did I need one! I havn't felt well the past few days so we ended up just taking it easy this weekend. Plus Kyle is still pretty jet-lagged. He said it's the worst it has ever been for him. He has been so foggy-brained!
Yesterday, Kyle took the kids to church and I stayed in bed to try and re-coup a little bit. I did make it to the grocery store this afternoon and also to check on my parents cat, Glavine. I've been checking on him this weekend while my parents are at the farm. We all love Glavine. Even those of us who hate cats love Glavine because he acts like a dog. He is seriously the best cat ever born.
Last night we grilled sausage and brat and ate outside. One of my favorite parts of Summer is all of the grilling. After meal planning for the week earlier in the afternoon, I asked Kyle if we over-did it this week with the grill plans. He said no. ha! He's excited too!
We ended the night hanging out next door after our babies were in bed! Good for the heart!
Tomorrow, we plan on more taking it easy and more grilling! Also, there was talk of having our own parade down our street. Happy Memorial Day, friends!
and FINALLY, I am so excited to offer a really special GIVEAWAY!!!
